Lisburn is only about 8 miles from the sea at its nearest point. The Ulster coast has a multitude of wrecks dating over a wide range of years, from motor yachts, schooners, a Royal yacht, rigged ships, WW1 destroyer, barges, tankers and a troopship carrier. However our most popular dive sites would be around Rathlin Island, off the coast at Ballycastle, in the north or Strangford Lough in Co Down.

The area around Rathlin has numerous wrecks and scenic dive sites. Because of its exposed position diving is normally only carried out in the summer months (May to September) when the days are long and the weather is warmer.

The Club also dives out of Ardglass, Ballywalter and Ballyhalbert in County Down.  We also dive regularly in Belfast Lough.

We dive all year round, although in winter most diving is done in Strangford Lough, where even during the worst weather conditions, a reasonably sheltered site can normally be found. 

The areas mentioned above may be our most popular dive sites, but the Club regularly dives other areas such as Donegal, Dingle, Cork and Galway and we also arrange Club trips to destinations such as Cuba, Mexico, the Maldives, Red Sea, Tenerife, Spain and the Philippines.
